The Thai military, though representing a Buddhist nation, launched a violent offensive on July 24, 2025. In a shocking development, Thai artillery strikes hit a Cambodian temple. They targeted religious sites including the Taman Senchey pagoda in Cambodia.
This marked the beginning of open warfare between Thailand and Cambodia. Heavy artillery fire devastated sacred monasteries. It also tragically claimed the life of a revered temple caretaker, Grandpa Chi Khang, also known as Ta Sok Sork.
The Thai military is a Buddhist nation, but they are wild. They fired big guns to destroy monasteries and monasteries at the Taman Senchey pagoda. On July 24, 2025, the day that the Thai invaders opened fire, the war with Cambodia started. The Thai military guests brutally shot the temple and killed a priest. Wat Taman Sen Chey is located in the Banteay Ampil district, Udar Meanchey province.

The temple is next to the foot of the river Dong Rek mountain. It is a place of worship and religious dharma for Buddhists in that area. Under the weight of heavy bullets from the brutal Thai army, the monasteries and shrines have been destroyed. Even more sadly, Grandpa Achar, who was the operator and maintenance of the temple, was also killed. He died under the weight of the Thai invaders’ large bullets. The grandfather who died was very dear Anoch Atham. He was called Chi Khang, also known as Ta Sok Sork, aged 70 years.
The military went to carry Grandpa’s body to perform the traditional rites on July 25, 2025. This happened just after he passed away beneath the broken ashram building. Grandpa died yesterday, but they couldn’t go to carry him because the area was a hot battlefield. Additionally, there was heavy gunfire from Thai military guests. Just this afternoon, the shooting of a big gun from the Thai army was silent. Then the Cambodian army went to take the dead body of the grandfather.

The Thai military engaged in a fierce battle in the Banteay Ampil district. They used very large guns. This occurred at the foot of the Dong Rek mountain. The weight of the large bullets fired by the Thai military has left numerous scars. These scars are on the houses, roads, and numerous trees of the residents.
Khmer citizens and workers who live and work in Thailand are coming back to Cambodia in large numbers. This is happening at the border gates next to Thailand on July 25, 2025. The police stationed at the International Coconut Gate, Battambang province, informed us of the situation. From the morning of July 25 until the afternoon, about 4000 people traveled through the International Coconut Gate.

It is important to note that after the Siem invaded Cambodian territory, Khmer citizens and workers returned to their motherland. The explosion of weapons started between Cambodia and Thailand yesterday morning, July 24, 2025. It began at the Taman Thom Temple point in Udar Meanchey province. It then spread to other battle areas along the Cambodia-Thai border. This marks the second day of the Siem army’s invasion of Cambodian territory.

In response to the invasion, thousands of Khmer citizens and migrant workers are returning to Cambodia through border checkpoints. These include the International Coconut Gate in Battambang province. As of July 25, 2025, around 4,000 individuals have crossed back into Cambodia.
This underscores the widespread fear and uncertainty caused by the Thai military’s ongoing incursion along the Cambodia-Thai border. The conflict began at the Taman Thom Temple in Udar Meanchey province and continues to escalate.
